Unlike normal spray fixatives, SpectraFix Degas Fixative uses no propellant or other toxic chemicals. It’s based on an antique recipe from French impressionist Edgar Degas: casein, a protein from milk, provides the fixing strength, and grain alcohol is used as the quick-drying solvent.
