Still made in the USA and still great at its job — the Scotch C-38 Desktop Tape Dispenser is an unassuming classic and a ubiquitous presence in American schools and offices. Today, it’s made from 100% recycled plastic, but otherwise it’s the same dispenser we’ve known for generations.

Unlike a lot of cuter tape dispensers, the C-38 can easily be used with one hand. Its large, weighted, padded base prevents it from sliding around while you use it.

The metal cutting blade is sharp and serrated, capable of cutting all kinds of paper and plastic tape. The dispenser is designed to hold rolls on 1″ cores, like Scotch Magic Tape, and can also hold a variety of other tapes with a maximum width of 3/4″. Most washi tapes will fit on this classic dispenser.
