Description

Originally designed for industrial masking, Nichiban #210 Artist Tape is a class above other artist tapes we’ve tried. It’s designed to hold firm and peel off without damaging delicate surfaces, like watercolor paper. Paint doesn’t seep under the edge, so you get a razor-sharp line when the tape is removed. It’s also very flat and thin, so you won’t see pooling at the edge when painting over Nichiban tape.

Each roll measures 18 meters (59 yd.) long. We stock several widths: 18 mm (0.7″), 9 mm (0.35″), and 30 mm (1.2″). Made in Japan.

Product Note from 2024: This tape was formerly known as Nichiban #251. None of the specifications have changed. The model number was changed in Japan in 2019, but American retailers have generally kept the old number to help artists find their favorite tape. Now that it’s been five years since the model number was changed, we’re finally updating our product listings to be consistent with the rest of the world—but please rest assured that the tape is identical.
