We’re proud to offer painting panels from American Easel — made with care in Salem, Oregon. These panels are made from sustainably-harvested wood, sourced as locally as possible in the American Northwest.
If you’ve used cheap wood panels before, American Easel Cradled Birch will be an exciting change of pace. Perfectly flat and sanded smooth, with a hardwood cradle that will keep the surface stable for many years, Cradled Birch Painting Panels are suitable for work that will be sold or displayed in a gallery.
UNPRIMED BIRCH
We love the natural look of these birch panels. Each one has its own grain structure and color, so each piece starts with a natural background that’s totally unique. If you want to keep the wood grain visible, we recommend using transparent gesso to prime it before painting.
STUDIO DEPTH PANELS
This cradled panel is studio-depth: it measures 7/8″ from the surface to the back of the support. This narrower profile is perfect for framing or for use in studios and classrooms, where storage space is at a premium. The quality, structural integrity, weight, and price are all the same as the gallery-depth line, so you can choose the profile that works best for you.
